CENTRAL DEVELOPMENT TEAM (CDT)

CDT’s core mission is to secure (or assist others to secure) major, principal, planned gifts, gifts-in-kind and philanthropic grants to move Clemson fiercely forward and surpass Campaign goals. CDT works with, and for, all divisions and colleges to consistently exceed fundraising expectations.
"Principal Gifts" include all philanthropic gifts that equal, or exceed, $1,000,000. This team ensures the strategic, intentional development of principal gift donors to ensure the successful receipt of these larger gifts. The division-wide Principal Gifts Committee is adminstered through this Team.
The GEP team assists donors in effectively including Clemson in the donor's estate plans. GEP team also works with other front-line officers across the division to secure planned gifts. The GEP team are experts in the all the estate-plan ning vehicles available to allowing the donor to leave a legacy gift of significant, long-term impact for Clemson's faculty, students and staff. The Clemson Legacy societies are administered through this Team.
The CFR team are the experts in donations received from corporations and non-government foundations. Working with University and Advancement development officers, this team of grant-writers and sponsorship professionals maximizes the benefits of these philanthropic gifts and grants from non-individual donors while ensuring the University's strategic goals are surpassed.
The GiK/GaG Center is a subsidiary of the CFR team. GiK gifts are philanthropic, non-monetary gifts to the University/Foundation from individuals, small businesses and corporate entities which move Clemson fiercely forward. The Center ensures that all appropriate funds from these GiKs and GaGs are included in Advancement's annual fund-raising goals. The Center is responsible for assisting the Gift Acceptance Committee in record-keeping and accounting for these philanthropic gifts/grants.
