CADENCE: Queries, Reports, and Lists

QUERIES

• Queries pull together individuals records based on specific criteria. 
• Queries are the foundation of all data lists (including smart queries, reports, exports, and data lists).
• Only IT Team has access to create, edit, and run queries.
• All CADENCE users have the ability to view, edit filters, and run the results of smart queries
  
  • Smart queries are a specific subset of records that allow users to filter to reduce even more records (view the description of each smart query for details).
  • Adding filters and output fields should be redirected to the Data Steward who will make an Help Desk ticket to request changes.

REPORTS

• There are a variety of out-of-the-box (Blackbaud created and not editable) and customized (IT Team created and edit) reports.
• Links to each report are found in the functional area (ie. Revenue reports are found under the Revenue tab in CADENCE).
• Most reports display data on demand; however some reports (like FYFRS, Development Dashboard Data) are based on bi-monthly snapshots of data.
